Christina Collins, M.A., LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Arizona #LMFT15733 and California #LMFT87936), experienced in providing therapeutic services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, parents, and families through agencies, in schools, and in private practice. I offer in-person and telehealth appointments. My in-person services are provided in Gilbert, Arizona, while my California clients are supported via telehealth.
Utilizing Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and a Rogerian approach, I aim to adapt my style to honor the current needs and goals of each client.
I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy through the Portland DBT Institute. Having a background in DBT, I am able to provide an evidence-based, highly structured array of interventions that address factors interfering with life quality and replace ineffective styles of thinking and behaviors with more skillful ones. I have a certificate in Nutritional Psychology (from John F. Kennedy University) and am passionate about working with clients to improve their lives and emotional well-being through nutrition and self-care. I completed my undergraduate (a Bachelors of Science in Adult and Adolescent Psychology) and graduate work (a Masters in Counseling; dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and School Counseling) at Saint Mary's College of California. I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), as well as a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT).
