Christina Collins, M.A., LMFT

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT87936), experienced in providing therapeutic services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, parents, and families through agencies, in schools, and in private practice.
Utilizing Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and a Rogerian approach, I aim to adapt my style to honor the current needs and goals of each client.
I am intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy through the Portland DBT Institute. This highly respected training has prepared me to present a research-based, highly structured array of interventions that address factors interfering with life quality and replace ineffective styles of thinking and behaviors with more skillful ones. I also have a certificate in Nutritional Psychology (from John F. Kennedy University) and am passionate about working with clients to improve their lives and emotional well-being through nutrition and self-care. I completed my undergraduate (a Bachelors of Science in Adult and Adolescent Psychology) and graduate work (a Masters in Counseling; dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and School Counseling) at Saint Mary's College of California. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (CAMFT), as well as a member of the East Bay chapter of CAMFT.
